PH Manager

The context

Prim’Holstein France wanted to bring its entire application ecosystem together into a single internal web platform, open to both member farmers and technicians: a bull catalogue, herd management, and above all mating suggestions between a list of bulls and a list of cows, surfacing the best possible offspring based on criteria like inbreeding, production and longevity, among others. The core of the calculation relied on a highly advanced algorithm produced by the organisation’s research & innovation team, which had to be faithfully translated into code — a dense project at the crossroads of the business domain and algorithmics.

My mission

I contributed to PH Manager as a full-stack developer, with a lead role on selected modules: implementing the mating algorithm, herd inventory and genetic tracking (indices, pedigrees, performance), and the technician module letting technicians pair up with the herds they manage to build mating proposals themselves and hand them directly to the farmer.

PH Manager centralises Prim’Holstein France’s entire application ecosystem (Guide Taureaux, Illicow) into a single, extremely thorough tool, where a sharp scientific algorithm becomes a day-to-day decision aid for both farmer and technician.
